he University of Tampa’s Board of Counselors and Cross Country Team is hosting the fourth annual Spartan Challenge 5K at the Pepin Rood Track/Soccer Stadium on Saturday, October 16th, 2010 at 8 a.m. The course is not your typical 5K road race. It includes running through tires, jumping over hay bales as well as crawling under a cargo net.....all of this in and around UT's historic campus. Last year's race featured a gorgeous day with sunshine, weather in the 60’s, plenty of excitement and more than 440 runners participating.
