he University of Tampa’s Board of Counselors and Cross Country Team hosted the third annual Spartan Challenge 5K at the Pepin Rood Track/Soccer Stadium on Saturday, October 17th, 2009 at 8 a.m. The course was not your typical 5K road race. It included running through tires, jumping over hay bales as well as crawling under a cargo net.....all of this in and around UT's historic campus. What a gorgeous day with sunshine, weather in the 60’s, plenty of excitement and more than 440 runners participating.
